Just wondering if anyone managed to catch the new “Seven Swords” quest before it got pulled.

As part of the Angmar changes, the sword quests were changed from the old, fellowship-needed 7 swords to just killing 7 named (normal) angmarim scattered in a fairly small part of Angmar, followed by a small-fellowship instance to finish the quest chain off.

I didn’t bother doing it until after the patch, by which point the final quest had been pulled because it was bugged (small fellowship quest but you could only enter it solo).

However I was reading on the Turbine forums that one of the selectable rewards from the new version is a pocket item with +14 Might, +14 Vit, +14 Agi, +1%parry. Sounds decent, was wondering if anyone had seen the quest/completed the quest before it got switched off by the patch to confirm this?

Also in pocket items, the Aughaire Challenge quest series has one that’s worth considering for raiding: -1.5% melee vun, +13 vit, +might (only a little but there’s a clicky for +15might for 10mins every 30 as well), +79 morale. Since you don’t really need massive evades in PvE raids it might be worth having it for the extra vit/moral.

In the Lord of the rings online, decided that since some very kind people have developed time stamping and log parsing tools for the combat logs, I’d actually go through some of my weapons collection and see which really does “do the most damage”.

I was just collecting the data for personal interest but decided to post it up here anyway, might be of interest to some of you.

Tested on a ~30 minute circuit from Gath Forthnir to large hillman village and back killing mobs on the way of middle world in Lotro.

Mob levels 47-51, types are bat (swarm), spider (normal), human (normal, sig and elite), morroval (normal).

“5 second DPS” consists of stealth approach from behind with AIM+LIE (when available), then Surprise Strike, Counter-defense, Burglar’s Advantage. I *could* have used the full crit-chain as the basis for “Burst” DPS, but I found that normal mobs were usually dead by the time I’d done “Flashing Blades” with the mace/mace and mace/sword combo - that’s ~2.2K dmg in 10-12 seconds. So I decided to go by the first 5 seconds of the fight instead.

Reveal Weakness (non-traited) was used on all mobs, as was (non-traited) Counter-Defence.

Seperate logs were made for each weapon combination so I could run them straight through the lotrometer without further editing.

Reason I chose this area/route was the variety of mobs to test on. When I’ve finished my various weapon combos on this route I’ll be doing the same thing in other areas with different mob types (orcs/goblins/trolls/wargs/worms)

So I wanna say goodbye to my friends who didn’t know/hear that I’m moving to a Bellocan server. Some of my friends know the reasons already but I’m gonna tell em here.

Nexon just released New Leaf City in their most recent patch, and here I am to give you some tips on where to get things, where the hard, easy, and in between monsters are. Most importantly, how to get the Amorian Relaxer!

Tip #1. Boomers= BIG EXP

You need:

1. A F/P Mage with Poison Mist

2. Nobody around that will ks you

At the Boomer map have the F/P Mage use Poison Mist until the Boomers multiply into the thousands… then mob then all for at least 56K EXP!!!! Well, if you are in the thousands and none kses you of course.

Tip #2. Godly drops

In MesoGears, which resides within Bigger Ben, there is a monster that drops ilbis and Blue Screamers. What monster is it? The Wolf Spider. Although a lvl 80 monster, for the higher lvls this is paradise for both training and drops… may be the answer to all high lvls’ prayers.

Tip #3. Easy money for everyone… maybe?

For the 1st John Barricade quest you must kill 50 Killa Bees, 40 Fire Tusks, and 30 Mighty Maple Eaters. All should be fairly easy. For completing the quest you get some exp, +2 Fame, and… AND A 60% GLOVE ATTK SCROLL. You may be crying with joy at getting what should be an easy 6 mil… but it isn’t. Due to everyone completing the quest the scroll’s price has dropped to 1 mil at best… oh well. However, WGs (Work Gloves) are now in high demand so make a couple and sell them for 50-100k each!

Tip #4. THE AMORIAN RELAXER!!!

Ok, this is very hard to get. Considering if you are under lvl 70 it is impossible for you to get it. Here’s what you gotta do. First, complete ALL of New Leaf City ’s quests. (Lvl 80 quests don’t count) Then a new quest will pop up out of nowhere. Complete this quest and you get the Amorian Relaxer which I believe heals 60 hp every 10 seconds. Looks awesome though!

RuneScape: Game Players don’t deserve articles??

Today I want to read some famous runescape articles, but some site tell that the players dont need the artilcles. I cant understand. In fact I want to know things about runescape pking. I think it’s funny in game, I only lvl 67, and never pk with other players.

RuneScape has many players famous for one reason or another. Everyone knows Zezima(lol, lots of players want to have his account), many have heard of Durial321, and the ones who have been with RuneScape from the beginning probably knew those players that were famous for being high combat. However, these players do not deserve their own articles. If a page is repeatedly re-created, it can be added to RuneScape:Blacklist. If you want to make an article about a player, whether yourself or another, make it in your userspace.

Many previous players have quit Runescape because of the removal of the good old Runescape Pking that they have known for years now. I hopefully can relive some of peoples’ memory, in what time I have here.

The Old Runescape Basics of the Wilderness

In the old Runescape Pking, there was a Wilderness. The Wilderness was a place for players of all levels to go and fight one another. However, the higher level you were, the more advantage you had over all other lower levels. The deeper you went into the Runescape Wilderness, the more players of different levels you could fight. In Level 1 Wilderness, you can fight other players that are within one combat level of yours. In Level 2 Wilderness, you can fight other players that are within two combat levels of yours, and so on. If you were a free-to-play player, then you could go up to level 50 Wilderness. So just to clarify the rules of the Runescape Wilderness, if I was level 50 combat, and I was in level 12 Wilderness, I could attack or be attacked by a level 38 player, and/or a level 62 player.

Runescape Pking Combat Triangle (Effects)

The Runescape Pking Triangle was (and is) dependent on three different attack approaches: Warriors (Swords and infantry weapons), Magicians (Staff’s and magic attacks), and Archers (Bow & Arrows). The Runescape Pking Triangle made a huge effect on how people would PK, and whom to fight. Rangers/Archers are quick and very agile. This gives them a huge advantage over mages, who are slower and whose attacks barely touch the rangers behind the strong leather & dragon hide. As pointed out, magicians (mages), are very weak against the archers’ sturdy armor, but oppositely, are very effective against warriors. Warriors, who are impeded by their heavy armor, cannot reach the far-casting mages. The mages then can easily run and attack from a distance. Warriors are strong and have brute strength on their side. Arrows are virtually useless against the metal armor that warriors have. With built in strength the warriors are very effective against the unsuspected rangers.

Archers/Rangers > Mages

Mages > Warriors

Warriors > Archers/Rangers

Runescape Pking Clans & Teams

There are two types of Runescape Pking in the Wilderness: Clans/Teams & Solo. Runescape Clans were very popular and were very effective in a group sense. A clan is a group of people, undetermined number, who work together to destroy an opponent or opponents. There are many benefits that come from working in a team. The most definite one is that there is safety in numbers. If you have 10 other people working with you, there is a much lower chance that you will get killed. The main down side of clan pking, is that you might not get “the kill”. This means that if you go and kill someone with your clan, and you did not do the most damage on that target, you will not get what he drops. However since half the people PK just for the sheer joy of Pking, it is not usually an issue. Most of the Runescape Pking Clans numbered over 100 strong, and a lot were “pures” who had experience and high advantage over many others.

Runescape Pking Solo

Pking in Runescape by yourself is much different than Pking with a group or clan. There is different strategy involved, and different possible benefits or losses. When Pking solo, you will always get the kill and drops. However when Pking solo, you waste a lot more food and runescape money attempting to kill someone else. Back in these days of Runescape Pking, you would do this in non-multi areas: usually in Edgeville. The Runescape Combat Triangle also played a large role there, and Pking in Edgeville was mostly dominated by Melee Warriors and Rangers/Archers. A couple of the “combos” that were used in F2P Pking, was Ranging/Rune 2 Hander, and Ranging/ Magic.

Runescape Bounty Hunter

Bounty Hunter is a Runescape minigame that was released to replace Runescape F2P & P2P Pking. There are three areas that you can enter: Level 3-55, Level 50-100, and Level 95+. You are immune to all attacks from people already inside for 6 seconds. Then, you fight a random target that Runescape decides.
Personally I think this is a horrible addition, and Runescape should bring back the old Runescape F2P and P2P Pking. I have no guides on Bounty Hunter and do not expect to. It does not deserve any recognition.

I am on my first charactor and on starting (in ignorance as to what the game was about) I chose to be a farmer ……. however I would like to change this to a more dynamic hobby

It depends on how you want to play the game, I think.

If you have just one character, you can get through the levels more quickly and into the other areas like evendim, Rivendell & Angmar more quickly. The downside is that you only see one type of race and character.

If you play more than one, you get the chance to try out a different race or class. In the eralier levels, you get to see different areas, depending on which race you choose - ered Luin, the Shire, Breeland etc. The downside to that is that you don’t get through the levels so quickly.

Different people will tell you to do different things. I find it hard to stick with just one character, even though I think I should do, because I like the variety - But that’s just my preference
